Hi, I wonder if anyone can advise on the following please:

I've been looking for a script to provide a Membership system for a Club to allow registration (fixed period 1 year). The system should allow a visitor to register, take a payment and allow the Club to view members and their status. iSubscribe seems to do all of this and more, although I don't really need the other secure area protection features.

However I did need to ask a couple of Questions:

1. My first question I'd already asked in a previous post about extra fields.
As my purpose is to use this for a slightly different reason that it was designed for, I needed to add some extra fields to Members. I received an answer that it would take some code changes to the front end/database which I already realised. I was just hoping someone might know if this would be a relatively easy change or a very complex one?

2. Once the subscription is created in iSubscribe, if the subscription is due to expire I assume warning emails are generated directly from PayPal and not from iSubscribe, is this correct?

3. Is someone cancels the subscription directly in PayPal how would the Club know this? Would an email notification of the cancellation  also be sent by PayPal to the Club and the Club would have to manually deactivate the subscription?

4. Is there any more detailed documentation than the wiki provided with the software? 

Sorry if these seem like stupid questions but I'm just trying to get my head around if this is the correct software for what I have in mind.

Yes, this could work for you, but your needing a customer management software more than a subscription software.  The two can go hand in hand, but that's not how this software was built.  It was built for subscription billing only and allowing access to pages and that's it.  If you need more information stores on your members, then you will need modifications done to the script.

Thanks for the comment "internet54" however as this had to be paid for membership I thought this software would probably be more suitable than a "customer management" solution as that doesn't usually come supplied with payment handling built in.

phpcoin.com is just one that could do what your asking.

I would suggest looking into webhosting systems.
Granted they will include options for hosting and domain names, but they are very good at client maintenance and billing.

See what you mean, "phpcoin" is certainly complex. It looks a goo deal more terrifying than "iSubscribe" and seems as though it would take a lot more effort to trim down for my own limited use.
