1938 DeSoto Other DeSoto Sedan
I am selling this DeSoto for my Uncle who has owned the car for over 20 years now. It has always been well maintained and properly serviced and always stored in a climate controlled garage. The original body is all steel and completely rust free, the undercarriage is very clean and appears to be all original. This is a clean, rust free classic that needs nothing but a new owner. The black cherry paint is over 25 years old and it does have a little wear from its age and being driven, but over all the paint is in great condition and looks beautiful cruising down the road. The engine is the original flat head 6cyl that runs great, it always starts right up with no problems and does not smoke or burn any fluids. The engine runs nice and smooth and can be driven absolutley anywhere. The transmission is the original 3-speed with the factory Munise overdrive. The transmission shifts through the gears with no problems. The custom interior was done many years ago, and gives this DeSoto a retro look with the Route 66 door panels. The seats, carpet, door panels, dash, and headliner are all in great shape showing very minimal wear.
