Recurring Cancelations?

Really liking the simplicity of NixieAffiliate, just a question from a newbie, how does NixieAffiliate know when someone has canceled their subscription so it stops paying out referral fees to the person who referred the person that canceled?

NixieAffiliate is triggered by a payment, if there is not (Paypal) payment, then no commission is going to be assigned, for the current (month/year etc). So basically, NixieAffiliate goes off of Paypal events, Paypal events are communicated to NixieAffiliate, and NixieAffiliate does not work on its own even "clock".
